About Connect
Team service on four continents! An exchange program runned by The Norwegian Mission Society, NMS.
This is the opportunity for you who would like to:

Connect wants this to be a year where Christian faith, mission and fellowship among people are focussed upon.
Placement abroad
After a good preparation course in an international setting at Hald, the students have a 6 month placement in Norway and in different countries in Asia, Africa, and South America. Connect can offer exciting placements with varied contents and profiles, in countries where The Norwegian Mission Society (NMS) works . Here you can express yourself through sports, computing, music, languages, children’s work, church work, teaching and much more.
When we allocate placements to the individual student, we emphasise both the individual’s qualifications and de sires. It is as important, however, to put people in teams that will function well together.
Some places the students will work in co-operation with NMS staff, but most places we hope that the students will have as much contact as possible with local and national co-workers, both in their work and free-time.
In the course of the placement the students will be visited by one of the teachers from Hald, who will give a follow up course. The students will also be given one study day a week to read, write and learn about the country and the culture they are living in.
Course at hald after Easter
We are proud of being able to offer an 10 week course about Christian faith and service, after the placement abroad. First we start with a week that we call “In for landing”. There, impressions and experiences from the placement abroad will be worked through, through creativ e teaching forms.
Thereafter we focus on teaching everyday and exciting themes about the Bible, Christian faith, fellowship in the church, service and Spiritual gifts, the church service, etc. We invite skilled lecturers who have specialised on the different topics.
